It was the ideal opportunity to connect with industry leaders, explore innovative solutions, and learn how to stay ahead of the curve in legal cybersecurity.

Notably, our very own cybersecurity expert – Rube Sayed, shared his wealth of knowledge and experience on the Cyber Breach – Are You Prepared? panel, alongside industry experts Martin Boyd, Niru Verma, Shelvin Narayan, and facilitated by Tony Vizza from KordaMentha.

These were some of the key takeaways from their discussion:

  3. Niru shed light on the significant impact cyber breaches can have on diverting resources away from core business operations, stressing the need for preparedness.
  4. Shelvin shared insights on effective strategies such as business continuity plans and the importance of swift and organised responses to cyber incidents.
  5. Rube mentioned the inevitability of cyber breaches and the importance of having a well-thought-out response plan, including the involvement of key stakeholders like cyber insurance providers and legal advisors.
  6. Addressing budget constraints, the panel explored cost-effective measures such as prioritising investments in training programs and establishing clear data breach policies.
  7. They stressed the significance of proactive decision-making, continuous improvement, and collaboration among stakeholders to navigate the evolving landscape of cyber threats effectively.
